TV shows:
Combining the skills of media professionals, poker consultants, designers and post-production engineers, the European Poker Tour will produce the most dynamic and stylistic series of poker programs ever created for television. Each event will focus on the venue, the players, the drama of play and the conclusion of each final table. The programs will create 90 minutes of stimulating, fast-paced, dramatic television that promotes poker as a sport and the EPT venues as the best places to play it.

Details of the first series:

Ten 90 minute televised European tournaments - Chosen from existing major tournaments across Europe.

A trans-European team of three professional commentators - Each commentator will cover a different aspect of the program. A roaming interviewer will focus on gaining an incisive and personal view of the players and the venues. An informed studio anchorman will focus on asking intelligent questions on behalf of the viewers. And finally, acting as an analyst, John Duthie will give a unique insight to the intricacies and complexities of the game and the decisions being made by the players.

Grand Final Event in Episode 7 - The ten winners and runners-up from each event will represent the cardroom/casino where they won their €15,000 prize packages in the Grand Final Event. The Grand Final Event will be held in Casino Monte Carlo in Monaco.

Broadcast dates in early 2005 - The season will start filming in September, 2004 and will conclude in April, 2005. It is anticipated that the first episode will be aired before completion of the series itself, possibly as early as March, 2005.
