Tell us about the event that qualified you for the Live Tour Final tourney next year.Heartburn: It was a 300 buy-in the day before the main EPT tour event, so there where some tough players playing in fact the girl that finished 8th in the my tournament went on to win the main event 500.000 pay day for her, pounds sterling by the way. Why couldn't have been the guy that finished 21st. NewJane: Tell us some interesting facts about your life, such as place of employment, family matters, hobbies, or educational background. Heartburn: As for hobbies I have none poker gets in the way. I teach tennis as a profession but the bones are creaking a bit may have to stop while I can. I played on the pro tour as a youngster but was not quite good enough but I was British champion and represented the UK at the LA Olympics. NewJane: Give us a little glimpse into your poker background. How long have you played? Do you prefer online play or live? Where is your favorite place to play live? Do you like tournaments or ring games? What is your game of choice? Heartburn: I have played poker for about 4 years, I prefer live play not that I'm better at it its just when someone's rude at a live table I have the option of ramming my fist down their throat which I don't have online. NewJane: How long have you been a member of PSO? Heartburn: I've been a member of PSO for just over a year now. NewJane: What do you think was your greatest strength in the tourney? Your biggest weakness? Heartburn: No idea I think its all weaknesses lol NewJane: What are some of the differences you notice in online play as opposed to live play? Heartburn: Easier to concentrate and people tend to play a little tighter. NewJane: If you could have dinner with any current poker tourney pro, who would it be and what would be the question you would ask first? Heartburn: Phil Ivey, how do you get away with raising with that crap. NewJane: What poker books have helped your game? Heartburn: Dan Harrington has helped me the most, but I believe there's something to get out of all books. NewJane: What new poker games are you interested in learning? Heartburn: Omaha, this year for sure. NewJane: Thanks for taking time to answer the interview questions, and best of luck at the Live Tour Finale in 2007.
