Mike Sexton commentates for The World Poker Tour. Mike Sexton is poker's consummate promoter. He is known far and wide for his contributions to the game and his passion for raising poker's profile around the world. A former European poker champion with his own coveted World Series of Poker bracelet, Mike is one of the premier ambassadors of poker.

High achievement has come in many forms for this former gymnast, ballroom dancer, paratrooper, and salesman. Mike possesses a rare drive and determination that has allowed him to successfully pursue the challenging goals he sets for himself. He parlayed his state championship title in gymnastics into a full four-year scholarship to Ohio State University, where he received a degree in Public Recreation. It was in college that he developed his life-long passion for playing cards.

After graduation, Mike went on to pursue another passion - jumping out of airplanes-joining the US Army as a paratrooper. After completing his military service, Mike worked as a salesman while playing poker at night. Realizing that he could make a living playing poker, Mike left his day job to become a full-time, professional poker player. But despite his ambitions, his love of coaching Little League Baseball kept him from competing in the World Series of Poker for many years. In the end, his dedication to poker prevailed, and Mike has become a regular fixture at the annual tournament.

Today Mike has transformed his passion for poker into several thriving business ventures. He regularly writes a column for CardPlayer magazine. In collaboration with PartyPoker.com and Linda Johnson, he launched The Party Poker Million, which allows people to play small twenty-two dollar tournaments on-line in order to win a cruise and entry into a million dollar tournament on a CardPlayer Cruise. Mike conceived of and created the "Tournament of Champions of Poker," setting a new standard for poker tournaments. And, of course, he still actively plays poker.

Mike's natural charisma and elegant charm as well as his obvious mastery of poker strategy make him the ideal spokesman and commentator for the World Poker Tour.
