WORLD POKER TOURTM
Announces Tournament Dates for 4th Record-Breaking Season

League is Approaching $100 Million Prize Money for Seasons 1-3 and is Expected to Reach $200 Million with the Advent of Season 4

Casinos and Communities Welcome WPT Players as Tour Rolls into Their Towns

West Hollywood, CA (March 3, 2005)- Breaking tournament records at every stop on its global tour, the WORLD POKER TOURTM WPT) today announced the schedule for its fourth exhilarating, high stakes season. Just on the cusp of reaching $100 million in prize money for its remarkable first three years, the league revealed the dates for next year's 16-Tour calendar-where the season's prize pool is estimated to be $70-$90 million.

"Anyone can play; Anyone can win" on the WPT Tour, which to date for Season 3 has played host to 4,437 players-including pros, talented amateurs and skilled celebrity players. With six tournaments still to be played in Season Three, the WPT has awarded $87,474,992 in prize money--money that has dramatically changed the lives of many WPT players. The WPT will continue to average a new millionaire on each leg of its Tour in Season Four, with prize pools expected to range from $3 to $10 million per event.

The WPT is the league that launched the poker phenomenon when it first aired on the Travel Channel on March 30, 2003, and it continues to lead the way in developing poker as a major international sport. The highest rated show ever on The Travel Channel, the WPT is now seen in 60 countries worldwide, and its tournaments are held at first class card rooms and resorts as far ranging as Paris, the Bahamas and Las Vegas. When the WPT rolls into town, players are accorded a hero's welcome and poker fans plan their schedules around the WPT Final Table taping.

Returning once again are the prestigious events that have contributed to the WPT's enormously successful Tour and the television show that airs every Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET/PT on the Travel Channel. WORLD POKER TOUR will once again feature events in Paris, Bahamas and Aruba, a seagoing cruise, and a stellar lineup of U.S. destinations. Season Four begins and ends in Las Vegas, initially with the Mirage Poker Showdown May 23, 2005 at The Mirage in Las Vegas and concludes April 28, 2006 at Bellagio for the exciting and much heralded WPT World Championship.

"Poker players today plan their lives around the WPT calendar because of the major role our league plays in furthering their careers and the sport," said Steve Lipscomb, Founder and President of WPT Enterprises, Inc. (Nasdaq: WPTE). "The astonishing prize money that we continue to offer at each stop attracts the finest players in the world on a monthly or weekly basis and our casinos partners, many of which were once closing or downsizing poker rooms, are trying to figure out where to put all the players when we come into town. If history prevails, Season Four will be bigger and better than ever."

All WPT tournaments (with the exception of the pro/celebrity WPT Invitational) are open to pros and amateurs alike who ante up each tournament's buy-in or play in satellite tournaments for a chance to win an entry. With the announcement of the schedule, players can begin signing up for satellites offered by the casinos and online poker rooms that host WPT tournaments. Satellite information can be found at www.worldpokertour.com. Anyone age 21 or older wishing to play in WPT tournaments should contact the participating casino to obtain information on the buy-in fee and registration deadlines.

The WPT is the only major sports league whose goal is to make everyone a better player, while also setting the gold standard in entertainment. Viewers and aspiring Tour players can log on to www.worldpokertour.com for ways to improve their game.
