500 Women Poker Players Expected Saturday to Vie for Seat in WPT´s Ladies Night IV--

LA Poker´s Leading Ladies and Novices Battle It Out at Bicycle Casino for a Spot in the Premier Women´s Poker Event

Winner Will Compete Against Defending Ladies Night III Champion Jennifer Tilly and Four Top-Ranked Women Players on Aug. 31

WHAT:

The WORLD POKER TOUR (WPT), Susan G. Komen Foundation and Bicycle Casino roll out the pink carpet for 500+ women who will fight it out on the felt to benefit breast cancer research. The two-day battle begins August 19th with the Bicycle Casino´s showcase woman-only tournament, the Ladies Poker Party.

In addition to the prize pool, the winner will earn a coveted seat in the WPT´s Ladies Night IV on Aug. 31st by competing against the leading ladies of poker—including WPT Ladies Night III defending champion Jennifer Tilly—for a show that will air on The Travel Channel.

The Ladies Poker Party is open to all Southern California women age 21 and over. A portion of each buy-in is being contributed to the Susan G. Komen Foundation to benefit breast cancer research, along with a contribution made by the WPT. Players may also make additional donations or bids the WPT´s online auction www.worldpokertour.com that runs through September 5th, with proceeds going to the cause.
