WSOP Winner World Championship Event No Limit Hold'em Final Day

Chris Moneymaker is the new World Series of Poker Champion. Chris wins $2,500,000 after beating Sammy Farha into second place and $1,300,000. In the last hand Chris made a full house of Fives over Fours after all the chips went in on the flop where Chris had 5's and 4's and Sammy a pair of Jacks.

Bruno Fitoussi from Paris, France leads the remaining 45 players with $671,500 at the end of day 3. Dutch Boyd is second with $491,500 , Scotty Nguyen 3rd with $428,500 and 4th Phil Hellmuth $362,000.

Amir Vahedi from Sherman Oaks, CA leads the remaining 111 players in the 34th WSOP at Binions Horseshoe Las Vegas with $303,400 at the end of day 2. In second place is Brian Watkins with $247,900 and 3rd Scotty Nguyen with $214,300.

Carlos Mortenson, the 2001 World Champion won event #34 ($5,000 buyin Limit HoldEm)at the WSOP last night. Carlos won a coveted WSOP gold bracelet and took home $251,680.

Event #35 ($1,500 buyin triple draw lowball) was won by Men "The Master" Nguyen for another WSOP gold bracelet and $43,520.

"After each event, the Horseshoe photographer takes each winner outside of Binion's to snap a victory picture. With Matt's great structures, the events have been ending around 9:00 P.M. on average. As Layne was headed out of the tournament room, I heard him tell the photographer to hurry up. He wanted his picture to be taken in daylight! LOL, that Layne is quite a character."
