Poker Press Release
Doyle Brunson, the greatest poker tournament player of all time (a record 8 WSOP gold bracelets) returned to Binions Horseshoe today by cutting into his extremely busy schedule, to attempt to win his 9th gold bracelet. His desire is to compete with the best players in the world, and at the 33rd World Series of Poker, that is exactly what he found when he entered the $1,500 buyin Pot Limit Holdem event. 340 players entered today, and tomorrow (Thursday) we will see the final 10 players take their seats at what could be another history making WSOP final table. Doyle is responsible for the most comprehensive book ever written on poker, Super System. No serious poker player should be without it in their poker book library. With many younger players starting to win WSOP bracelets, Doyle, I'm sure, would like to put a bit more breathing space between himself and the rest of the pack. The legendary Johnny Moss also won 8 bracelets at the WSOP. Currently, Phil Hellmuth is just one short with 7 bracelets. Johnny Chan has 6 after just narrowly missing yesterday in the No limit Holdem event. Over the coming 2 weeks there will be hundreds of spectators here at Binions Horseshoe in downtown Las Vegas trying to catch a glimpse of the legendary Doyle Brunson in action.
