Tournament of Champions, Inc., is pleased to announce that Poker Digest Magazine has become the official poker magazine sponsor for TOC 2001.
Poker Digest will assist TOC in the expansion of TOC 2001, which will be held for the full week of July 23-29, 2001 at The Orleans Hotel and Casino following the conclusion of the Orleans Open. TOC 2001 will feature four days of preliminary tournaments with $500 buy-ins, one in each of the four disciplines played during the TOC Championship-Limit Hold'em, Seven-Card Stud, No-Limit Hold'em and Omaha Eight-or-Better. Entry fees for these preliminary events will be $50 and the No Limit Hold'em event will allow two rebuys.
The three-day TOC Championship will start on July 27, 2001. A welcoming party will precede it at 6 p.m. on July 26, 2001.
Throughout the Orleans Open and the preliminary TOC events, there will be nightly super satellites for the TOC Championship. Winners of these super satellites will qualify for the TOC Championship and earn a paid seat.
