NewJane: Congratulations on your excellent finish at the Live Tour event! Tell us about the event that qualified you for the Live Tour Final tourney next year.

TheMills: Played in the summer final Big One Event where I finished 5th to qualify for the playoff table of 10 and won that event.

NewJane: Tell us some interesting facts about your life, such as place of employment, family matters, hobbies, or educational background.

TheMills: I work for the United States Postal Service since April of this year. I have one amazing 6 year old son who if the joy of my life. My significant other in my life right now would be poker.

NewJane: Give us a little glimpse into your poker background. How long have you played? Do you prefer online play or live? Where is your favorite place to play live? Do you like tournaments or ring games? What is your game of choice?

TheMills: I've been playing poker since the beginning of 2004. Started out playing with friends. Once I realized how much I enjoy the challenge of no limit I started reading books then playing on online.

No limit is my first love in poker followed up by stud. Most of my live play has been in home events with a group of PSO players and friends in the MPLS area. Before I moved away from the cities I would hold bi-monthly events at my house.

NewJane: How long have you been a member of PSO?

TheMills: I have been a member of PSO since August 1st 2004.

NewJane: What do you think was your greatest strength in the tourney? Your biggest weakness?

TheMills: My greatest strength the tournament is I choose the right spots to get all my chips in the middle. Multiple times I would "fee" the raiser holding big Ace when I had a mid PP. PP 8's were very good to me, flopping 4 sets during the course of the tourney. The biggest weakness would be my 2nd to last hand. I soft played AQ and didn't have the discipline to muck it on a JAK flop. I lost 4/5 of my chips to AJ. At this point I was the chip leader and should've lain it down and waited for a better spot to battle.

NewJane: Do you remember any key hands you want to tell us about? Positive or Negative outcomes…

TheMills: With 12 players remaining and 10th in chips I woke up with A's from MP with a raise in front of me so I pushed them in, I get a call in front of me and then the first raiser pushed all in to isolate the had. He had K's and didn't improve. At that point I had enough chips to play the table. It was the key point in the tourney to make the push for the win.

NewJane: What are some of the differences you notice in online play as opposed to live play?

TheMills: For learning the game online accelerates the learning curve by 3 fold. There is plenty of information available if you do a little research. As far as play goes there seems to be more willingness to call a bluff then in a live setting. Maybe it's because he/she doesn't physically face the other player.

NewJane: If you could have dinner with any current poker tourney pro, who would it be and what would be the question you would ask first?

TheMills: This is a tough answer for me but I would go with Phil Ivey. My first question for him would be when faced with a table of unknown players what are 3 things you look for and why?

NewJane: What poker books have helped your game?

TheMills: Super System 2 has by far been the best book I have purchased. The amount of knowledge on all the games is incredible.

NewJane: What new poker games are you interested in learning?

TheMills: One day I hope to learn Omaha
