Interaction in the Cardroom With Al Spath

PokerSchool Online is very excited to have Al Spath as dean of the PokerSchoolOnline, as well as an instructor with our beginning players.

His primary teaching interaction (3-5) times a week occurs with students at the PokerSchool Cardroom tables. Also Look for him at the Beginner's Forum and at the PSO Cardroom for additional sessions he is known to provide unannounced. His monthly schedule is also posted in the Beginner's Forum.

Biography

Al Spath is the Dean of PokerSchoolOnline and a respected writer, teacher and player in the poker community. He is a noted poker author with articles published in Poker Digest and at many on-line internet sites. Al's "A Chip, A Chair and A Prayer" was a feature article in the 2002 WSOP edition of Poker Digest. This article was selected recently to be reprinted in the first issue of "LiveActionPoker," the magazine debuting at the 2004 WSOP, followed by new articles monthly.

Al has been involved as a consultant or client testor for numerous sites beta testing software (LoneStar, Emerald, HighRolldersCardroom, Grandbay, TnT to name a few), and joins our team now after most recently being a consultant for DynamitePoker.com. In that capacity, Al designed tournaments, tested newly designed software (builds), provided instruction for new players, was available for private one on one tutoring and assisted with site marketing. Al has his own website with an active discussion group which also recently hosted a poker sympossium.

Additional Bio: Past Southern California,Vegas casino and on-line tournament winner at both Stud and Holdem, however the past decade most of his time has been devoted to fostering poker education on-line.

His ability to teach, to speak with new players in a language and encouraging tone that makes them want to learn, gain experience and play more, is a credit to his experience and communicating skills honed while serving the United States Air Force as the Command Senior Enlisted Advisor, Combat Camera, for more than 24 years.

Al also works for Major League Baseball Productions and in that capacity works the World Series, All-Star Game, special events (MTV Rock and Jock) as a production assistant (when available). During venues of this nature, Al writes interview questions to be asked to players and celebrities and is in charge of securing the biggest names at the event for videotaping. Greatest moment: 1999 All Star Game in Boston at Fenway Park, interacting with the top 50 All-Time Greatest Baseball Players, including Ted Williams and Henry Aaron.
