Tournament Report
Steve is retired from the Air Force and spent several years at the Pentagon. He plays Poker on a recreational basis, but shhh.... please, we do not want the inlaws to know. Today's win meant alot to Steve, for this was his first win ever (okay, so it took him 61 years to do it,heh!).
At the World Series, Steve won 3 Satellites and of 512 entrants, he placed 37th in No Limit Hold 'em, which was a paid position.
Steve we are happy you achieved your victory with us at the United States Poker Championship. For all tournament participants, your questions regarding Steve's method of play will be answered on a "need to know" basis.
When Jason was asked what his name meant in Thai, he said 'The biggest fish in the world" Surely you jest, Jason, finishing second in today's event, Jason (the Jedi) played with poise and finesse, exhibiting some very "gutsy" plays.
The onset of Jason's poker career was about 4 years ago, with roughly the last 2 years being professional play. Just last year, Jason took 2nd in this same event.
Of this event, Jason said the players were strong and that it was the finest of the final tables he had played at. Jason would kindly like to dedicate his success today to his mentor, Herbie Allen.
Khenh (Kenny) has been playing professional poker for about 9 years. It was just this year that he began playing tournaments, and of 3 times entering No Limit Hold 'em events, he made it to the final table each time. Kenny finished third in todays event, taking home $6,982. Kenny, you're off to a good start in your tournament career.
Of 245 entrants in todays event, Bob Silverstein placed 4th, and that's quite a lot to be proud of as a recreational player.
We wish a pleasant experience and Good Luck to all the players who take part in this 2000 United States Poker Championship. |
