Tournament Report
Anthony Cousineau, who resides in Daytona Beach, Florida was blessed with his first official tournament win, here at the Trump Taj Mahal, USPC. Anthony has only been playing poker for 2 years, but his goals are aggressive and his accomplishments speak for themselves. Just this August,he placed 2nd in the "Legends" Limit Hold 'em Tournament,he made it to the final table at Foxwood's Stud Tournament, he finished at the final table of the World Series $5000 Stud event, and he has already won a seat in the USPC Championship event for No Limit Hold 'em which will commence on December 13th. Anthony, you're a natural !!!
Behind every good man is a good, supportive woman, as John McLaughlin knows. Rosie told him he could play today, just as long as he was home by 9.00pm. Okay, so it's almost 9.30pm, but Rosie will be happy to know that John (JML) is coming home as the 2nd place finisher, with $21,470. Not a bad day's work.
John began playing poker about 6 years ago, when his kid bought him some books on the game, as a Christmas gift. He started out playing $1-5 Stud, and look at him now, finishing in the money. John has actually won simultaneous tournament events in Stud and Hold 'em. That's a feat! Those books have unleased a giant.
Mike Tyson.. Slade..both cancer men, both "bad boys" of their game. Slade has been playing poker for about 35 years and he "just doesn't know how the Taj fools beat him". He does enjoy being around gamblers and for the most part, he feels they are terrific people. Slade gave an entertaining performance at the final table, and he feels that a fee should be charged when he plays poker, here or elsewhere. As Slade collected his 3rd place winnings, he said,"If everyyone who plays poker was like Sam Grizzle, i'd live in a castle instead of a mansion.
(Jerry Jordan would like to congratulate Slade on his newly bought friends.....Just Kidding)
