Tournament Report
Michael Matusow told everyone that he was going to win this event and he did. This Sam's Town Poker Dealer - turned pro about 4 years ago. Thanks to a buddy, Michael was introduced to poker in 1991.
If they could see me now.... 2 World Series Bracelets later, a beautiful home, nice car, great life style, yes, poker has been good to me.
This year Michael also won the Omaha event at Harrah's taking home $50,000. Sorry to win and run, but gotta go, got an Omaha tournament tomorrow.
Okay, John Farley, we're happy to know you are truly a Phillies fan at heart and the Yankees cap is just a 'poker thing'. You can enjoy cheesesteaks, pretzels and beer in abundance at the next Eagles game, thanks to your 2nd place finish in today's No Limit Hold 'em event, taking home $23,400......Enjoy.
From Greece to Austin, Texas, Stavros Karabinas has played poker. Kitchen table games are just as popular in Germany and England as in the good 'ol US of A.
The 3rd place finisher in today's event has tremendous final table experience, as he has been there often.
Stavros enjoys the temperate climate and aesthetic scenery which Austin, Texas has to offer. Simply at ease with his environment, whether at home or at the final table, Stavros exudes confidence and control. Any further comments would only be dwarfed by those of Card Player, so suffice it to say, Stavros is simply a gentleman.
Scotty Nguyen, the 4th place finisher is no stranger to Mike Matusow, they've been at the final table together before. How 'bout that '97 World Series?
Scotty, there's an age old story about man and his dog....
This was the twelveth of seventeen tournament events that will take place over a consecutive 19 day period.
To encourage the number of entrants in the Championship Stud event on December 10th, both 4pm and 9pm Super Satellites played on December 9th will be directed towards a seat in this prestigious event.
We wish a pleasant experience and Good Luck to all Participants. |
