Tournament Report

Kevin Song has titles too numerous to mention. With his 'eyes on prize',Kevin finished in 9th position at the final table of the World Series, at this first tournament attempt. That Kid ate his Wheaties.

Today's Omaha High/Low event winner began playing poker professionally about 10 years ago and entered the tournament circuit in 1995.

Kevin is an avid golfer, spending much of his time on the fairway. When the day comes and the official PPA (Proffessional Poker Association) is formed, which will you be endorsing, Kevin, golf or Poker products.

Scotty Nguyen, just thought we'd let you know that Kevin has a very big dog.

Mom and Dad (MG & BG) also poker players, watched on in support of their son, Jeff Madden, who finished 2nd in today's Omaha High/Low Split event.

Jeff, employed by an architectural firm in Buffalo, drives 8 hours to the Taj, to play poker on a recreational basis. Having only played Omaha High/Low Split about 6 times, makes this a herculean win over 85 entrants. Take that back to the boardroom.

About 20 years ago, the New Yorker Magazine published an article on the World Series of Poker. Fortunately, Julien Studley read this article, which inspired him to venture off to Las Vegas for about 10 days, to see first hand what the World Series was all about. The rest is History.....

Of the tournament, Mr Studley commmented on the timeliness and organization, specifically, how well the tournaments have been run. Thank you Julien Studley.

This was the thirteenth of seventeen tournament events that will take place over a consecutive 19 day period.

The Championship Stud event will be played on December 10th.

We wish a pleasant experience and Good Luck to all participants.
