Tournament Report
| Just show me the money! Kevin Song was very tired from the Championship Stud event which he played in yesterday, so he had decided not to play in today's $500 Limit Hold 'em. It was 10:55am when Kevin awoke, just minutes before the tournament would begin. Oh, why not...
Nothing but sleep on his mind, a negligible amount of chips and a 3-4 off-suit, the turning point came for Kevin, as he employed his 'bluffing techniques' to draw in the big blind. The flop came... bet, Kevin raised, call. The turn card, bet, Kevin raised, and now the river... check, Kevin made a bold $200 bet. After intent consideration, the hand was mucked. Kevin is back in the game and from that point on, it was focus... focus... focus... and some assistance from the 'poker spirits'.
Just a Wink... and a smile, from his friend Bert, as he is congratulated on the 2nd place finish in today's Limit Hold 'em event.
Wink, as he is known by all, is a self-employed businessman who plays poker on a recreation leve. P.r.e.t.t.y. nice pastime Wink, takking home $18,200. That's all it took, was a valian effort, a 2nd place finish, a phone call to the Mrs. and you're off to the Bahamas. It doesn't get any better than that. Travel made possible by the USPC.
Seat #3, finished #3, from New York, Michael May was equipped with Frosted Flaks, Rolaids, plastic spoon and a half dollar. This is a "large and powerful man, shrouded in mystery" ...staty tuned for aditional comment as the games continue for only the Shadow knows...
This was the fifteenth of seventeen tournament events to take place over a consecutive nineteen day period.
"It's money, adventure, and fame. It's the thrill of a lifetime and the long (No-Limit Hold 'em) voyage" that will start on December 13th at 4:00 pm, and ended on December 15th, with the crowning of the new "King Kong," here at the USPC.
