Tournament Report

The second day of the Majestic Poker Tour started fast and it only took 1.5 hours to reach the final table. Once the final table took shape it took nearly an hour to lose the first player when Moises Gabel called an all in when short stacked and failed to improve his A6 on the flop. Patricio Kaendler and Rusuel Munoz were both then eliminated on the same hand when Simon Fishman's A9 on a A82 flop held up against Rusuel's K2 and Patricio's A6. Jorge Naranjo was getting short stacked and followed shortly after.

Rory McHugh, making his 3rd consecutive final table in the Majestic Poker tour following his win in the Dominican was getting short and chose to call an all in with Q8 from the big blind against Simon Fischman's K3. A board of A39A3 sealed Rory's fate and he was out in 5th.

From this point Roberto Santo's aggressive play started to pay dividends as he firmly took control of the table. Simon Fishman soon found himself short stacked and he called an all in move from Roberto Santos with A6 only to find Roberto hold 66. No Ace arrived and Simon was out leaving three Venezuelan's to fight for the title.

Paulo Carillo who had played solidly all day couldn't seem to catch a hand and was finding it tough against Roberto and Paulo's aggressive play. He eventually called all in with K2 against Roberto's A3 and failed to improve.

The blinds increased again and Paulo was getting short so minutes later all the money was in the middle Paulo held 10s2s against Roberto's 10cJh. Two spades on the flop gave Paulo plenty of hope but it was not to be. Congratulations to Roberto and good luck in Las Vegas!
