Tournament Report

Our first and second eliminations occurred simultaneously when professional poker player Tony Cousineau's pocket 8s beat the pocket 10s of Max Pescatori and the Q6 offsuit held by Brian Niererk.

When the dust cleared Tony was second in chips, still trailing behind massive chip leader Robert 'RCW' Cheung.

The next big chip movement was with Jessie Bissonette being the recipient of a complete double up from Keith Tilston, when Jessies Ah Qc found a nice little Qs on the river to best Keiths Ts Td. Keith managed a double up of his own when his Ah 8h remained the best against chipleader Robert Cheung's 9s 7c. Robert made a small pre-flop raise from early position but when Keith moved in, the whole set was somehow shocked with the call. The final board of 4d 8c 3h Qs As propelled Keith into a solid 3rd place.

Keith and Robert managed to tangle again just a few hands later. Keith raised to 9,000 from the button with AcTc, Robert called from the big blind with just the 5s 6s. When both players missed their draws Keith managed to win another monster pot with just Ace high.

The downslide continued for Robert Cheung when his Ah Js ran into the AcKc of Keith Tilston. It looked like Robert would double up when the Board read 6c 6s 8d Jd on the turn, but the Kd on the river made quick work of Robert, and the new chip leader out of Keith Tilston. Robert was the chip leader coming in to the final table and he was now out in 4th place collecting $6,130.

Tony Cousineau was the next player to fall in a brutal hand. His Kd Qh flopped trip Queens when the flop came 6c Qc Qd, but they ended up as the second best hand when Keith Tilstons Kc Jc make broadway on the river when the final board read 6c Qc Qd Th As. Tony finishes in 3rd place with a brutal river card but collects $8,429 for his troubles.

When heads up play started, Keith Tilston had an overwhelming chip lead with $284,400 over Jesse Bissonette's $34,300. After a couple of back and forth pots Keith managed to end it all 5s full against Jesse's 9 high straight.

For his efforts Keith took home $41,300 and a freeroll entry into the heads up semi-finals.
