Tale of the No-L i mit Final Table
The first hand at the Final Table is fatal
for Joe Rider. He raises the big blind to
$30,000 holding A/K. With Ad/Qd, Don Webb
comes after him. When the board brings 3 diamonds,
Rider's ruined, caught by a Webb on
Halloween. Joe must go for 9th Place.
Then next to crash is Harry Simmons.
He goes all-in raising big blind David Marazzo
$20,500. April
showers all her
chips to call
holding 7/7.
When the board
comes: A, 6, 7 / 10, Q, Harry is out of chip
fuel and crashes with 8th Place. 'I'm going to
buy my own airport', Simmons says.
A few hands later, Fred McAdoo is in the
$6,000 big blind holding A/J. The Navy comes
for him when the Admiral, Don Webb, sails in
with his entire chip fleet, $39,000, behind A/9.
Fred finds a Jack on the flop. Don's done; and
takes 7th Place.
With Al in the $8,000 big blind, Fred
McAdoo goes all-in for $7,500 holding Q/9.
Joon, with Kh/9h, raises to $16,000 to get
heads-up with Fred. The river brings Joon a
flush. McAdoo don't. He gets 6th Place.
Al Hashemi, owner of two fine local Italian
restaurants, decides it's time to go to dinner.
He throws all his meatballs in the pot and
leaves with 5th Place.
April Jones is the next to go. In the
$12,000 big blind with 10d/8d, April calls with
it all when Joon, with A/7, raises her. The
board brings a 7 on the river for Joon and 4th
Place for April.
Although he had a large lead, Joon Tag
'JT' Cho springs a severe chip leak. He can't
stop it and soon goes out with 3rd Place.
Heads-up, it doesn't take Steve long to
milk 'The Goat Man' dry. He squeezes out the
last few drops using A/K. David Marazzo is
put out to pasture with 2nd
Place.
Steve Boyle has all the
chips and no players. He's
crowned the Champ. It's
4:10pm. |
