'MARK'EM DOWN' NOYES TAKES
THE WIN! $38,404 FOR 1ST!
With family and friends standing by, Tom 'Mark'em Down' Noyes took the 7-Card Stud
Championship of the 2007 Foxwoods Poker Classic. In fact, Mark'em Down is a repeat Champion since
he took this event at the 2005 NEPC. For his efforts in 2007, Mark'em Down, a resident of Clarks
Summit, PA, will return home with the Championship trophy, commemorative jacket and $38,404!
John Levins of Bridgeport, CT, was the first player to depart the Final Table. John had lost a
sizable portion of his stack earlier with Q's up to Tom Savitsky's A's up. With A's up after 4 cards, he
was all-in but Robey Rossi had trip 2's and John had to settle for 8th place money of $2,595. Bobby
Ferdinand had a pair of K's and was ahead until Mark'em Down caught a third 7 on the river to send
Bobby home to Revere, MA, in 7th place. Bobby collected $3,114 for his efforts. Robey Rossi had
started the Final Table as the short stack but was able to move up to 6th position. Mark'em Down, with
K's full, took a chunk of Robey's stack which Robey took back with J's full. With the limits at $8K/
$16K, Robey was all-in with trip 3's; he filled on the river but Paul Mangine caught 6's full on the river
and Robey's day was over. A resident of Needham, MA, Robey took home $4,151.
Tom Savitsky of Randolph, NJ, traded large pots with Paul Mangine and was finally all-in with
pocket 10's. Tom was ahead of Paul's 7's until Paul paired a Q on the river to send Tom home in 5th
place with $5,190. Dave Eagles, a resident of Londonderry, Nova Scotia, was not able to catch the cards
necessary to maintain his position as the 2nd highest stack on the Final Table. He made a great stand with
A's up but Dave Campo caught a full house on the river. Dave Eagles had to settle for 4th place money
of $6,746.
With 3 players remaining, the chip leader was Paul Mangine, Dave Campo in 2nd and Mark'em
Down bringing up the rear. Dave, a resident of Waterford, CT, squared off 4 times in succession against
Mark'em and was edged out each time. In the end, his 10's up left him in 3rd place when Mark'em
caught a second pair for Q's up. Dave had $10,639 for his efforts.
Heads up play began with Mark'em Down in control of the chips. Paul put up a valiant effort to
stem the tide but Mark'em was not to be stopped. The limits were now at $15K/$30K and Mark'em was
playing his cards right. Paul went all-in with pocket 8's but Mark'em Down had A's and Paul, a resident
of Huntington Station, NY, would settle for 2nd place and $19, 720!
And Tom Mark'em Down Noyes was the Seven Card Stud Champion for 2007!
