Tournament Report
Pizza Manager has Poker Premonition
Traverse City, MI -- Tony Haddad, a pizza restaurant manager from Northville, Michigan, won the Heartland Poker Tour (HPT) tournament at the Leelanau Sands Casino in Traverse City, MI. For his victory in the event that attracted 162 players, Haddad received $63,348.
"I just had a feeling about this" the latest HPT champ said, "All weekend long I felt this was my time, and I was going to take the tournament down." For much of the day, Haddad was not the chip leader, but managed to catch some good hands at the most opportune moments. "I certainly enjoyed some luck" the champ admitted.
The third largest televised poker show, the Heartland Poker Tour conducts tournaments at venues around the country. The championship final is filmed for TV.
