Tournament Report
James Mcfell Dominates!
The third event of The Legends of Poker was as exciting as the previous event. Several professionals made their way to the tournament room in hopes of winning including David “The Dragon” Pham, Bryan Devonshire, Nam Le, and Chris Grigorian. We even got a taste of Hollywood when James Woods entered the room! In the end, none of these players could handle the competition, but we did get to see Nam Le make it far in the tourney.
The Bubble got busted 6 hours into the tournament and the remaining 27 players were all in the money!
Once we arrived at the final table, the chipleader was Travis Pearson who had 103,500 chips and faired well. The first player to make an exit from the table was Matt Adame who was all-in with an A-J versus the K-Q of Allen Le. The board came out 7-2-3-4-Q and allen scooped the pot. Matt Adame finished 10th earning $2,020.
Dino Bartolome put Allen Le all in with Le holding 2 pair on a flop of 10-6-8. Le was holding 10-6 and Mosses held Q-10. The turn was a 4 and the river was a Q giving Dino the best 2 pair. Allen Le finished 9th earning $2,425.
On a flop of 8-8-3, Robert Durant would ultimately put himself all-in and get called down by James Mcfell who held A-q and Robert had A-10. The turn was an A and the river was a 2. Robert Durant finished 8th earning $3,230.
Andrew Kelsall felt compelled to move all-in pre-flop against James Mcfell and Mcfell called. Kelsall had A-J and Mcfell held pocket J's. The flop was 2-9-10, the turn was 6 and the river was a 10. Andrew Kelsall finished 7th earning $4,040.
A very shortstacked Mark Rollins mucked his hand without showing when he was called down by 2 players and was obviously beat by the pair of J's of James Mcfell. Mark Rollins finished 6th earning $5,655.
In a blind versus blind battle Travis Pearson, who was now shortstacked, made a move on the new chipleader James Mcfell. Travis was all-in with J-8 and Mcfell held pocket 7's. The board danced around Travis when it showed K-Q-2-5-K and Mcfell took down another player. Travis Pearson finished 5th earning $7,270.
The remaining players made a deal on the remaining prize money and our champion is James Mcfell who earned $60,555.
