Tournament Report

Ronnie Mcmillan is Top Dog

194 players decided to take their shot at the Legends of Poker ring and a share of $194,090 last night. One particular player was excited about being back and his name was Jack 'Lucky' Larson who took down this event last year. He couldn't repeat his performance, but was happy just the same. Men 'The Master' Nguyen started out strong by taking a huge chip lead, but fizzled out just 2 spots shy of the money. Amir Vahedi looked tired and worn out, but he did make it far into the money.

The bubble wasdeflated after 8 hours of play and the remaining 18 players would get their share of the prize pool.

The final table was a tough one indeed. The first casualty came in the form of David Moskowitz. David moved all-in on a flop of Ac 6c 2d and Sirous Baghchehsarie called with 10c 9c 5h 8s while David held A-3-7-9 for the pair. The turn was a Qc and that did it for David Moskowitz who finished 9th earning $1,645.

Then, the A-A-9-7 of Lawrence Siegal got busted on the turn by the 3-4-6-8 of Reza Payvar when the board read 2-Q-A-5-J., giving Payvar the wheel. Lawrence Siegal finished 8th earning $1,880.

Sirous Baghchehsarie was the low stack of the table and made his move. 2 callers called him and checked down to the river and the board was 5-5-10-Q-9. Reza Payvar turned his A-K-9-2,which was the best hand and Sirous mucked his hand. Sirous Baghchehsarie finished 7th earning 2,350.

The chips had been passed around to the left for the next, hour until we got a reaction from Dean Factor's raise by Amir Vahedi. The flop came 8c Ah Jd and Amr Vahedi made it 6k to go. Dean only had 6k left and reluctantly made the call to show his Qc 10c 6h 5d to Amir's Ac 10h 4h 5c for the flush draw and the top pair. The turn was a 2c and the 9c couldn't help Dean Factor who finished 6th earning 3,295.

The remaining players decided to make a deal on the remaining prize pool and Ronnie Mcmillan is our Champion! He finished the night earning $37,635.
