Tournament Report
| The 1,070 No Limit Hold'em tournament was a 2 day event that was played down to the money on the first day. The lucky 18 players left in the tournament returned for the second day and we saw some fireworks. Kenna James made it to the second day and got down to business right away. George Yutuc took his stack into battle on day 2 and was also very aggressive from the beginning.
The bubble was the end of day 1 which took 9 hours to complete. This left 18 players who would return the next day to play out the money positions. It took only 2 hours to reach the final table where we pick up the play.
Fred Adli raised the pot up to 7k and Makram Merhom moved all-in. Kevin Song made the insta-call, leaving Fred with a big decision. he took a few minutes to decide to fold his A-K and the other two turn up their hands. Makram had A-10 versus the pocket 9's of Kevin. The flop came 2-4-6. The turn was another 2 and the river was the 4 and Makram Merhom finished 10th earning $3,355.
On a flop of 9-Q-K, the player only known as Amazon checked his option over to Ray Henson, who made a 13k bet. Amazon moved all-in and the action rested on Ray's hands. Ray went through his check down of hands and even made the right decision on hands, but made the crying call with pocket A's versus the set of Q's of amazon. The turn was a 3 and the river was a 5. Ray Henson finished in 9th place earning $4,025.
George Yutuc was running low on chips and finally woke up with an all-in hand. His K-8 was up against the K-10 of Fred Aldi and the flop came K-7-4. The turn was a 10 and the river 2 was no help to George Yutuc who finished 8th place earning $5,370.
With a little over 40k in the pot and the flop reading 3-10-5, George Colli fired out a pot-sized bet and Jorge Pineda moved all-in. George must have put him on a steal and decided to call and the hands were turned up. George Colli had the A-4 and Jorge Pineda turned up the pocket A's. The turn was the 7 and now Colli could only hope for a 2. The 3 was scary to Pineda at first, but it was the card that sent George Colli back to Connecticut in 7th place earning $6,710.
The action folded around to Gene Resnick, who was in the sb. He made a push with all of his chips and was surprised to get a call from Amazon who turned up the K-Q versus the K-J of Gene Resnick. The board was a complete brick for Resnick and Gene Resnick is finished 6th earning $9,395.
The remaining 5 players decided to chop up the remaining prize money and our champion is Fred Adli who gets the seat to The Legends of Poker and $100,645.
