Tournament Report
Charles Moore Wins Poker's Heisman Trophy
TULSA, OK -- Charles Moore won a special event Sunday, May 20th at the Cherokee Casino. Called the'Tulsa Sports Charities Heisman Bounty', Oklahoma professional athletes and sports figures participated in the $100+20 No-Limit Hold'em event.
Each of the sports celebrities had a $50 bounty on their heads with the proceeds going to charities. A host of Oklahoma sports stars participated in the event. Every table had at least one athlete with a price on his head.
Among the large number of former college and pro stars on hand was NFL Hall of Fame running back Billy Sims. He was the 1978 University of Oklahoma Heisman Trophy winner who was drafted by the NFL Detroit Lions.
For his victory, Moore collected $8,468.'It's a real thrill not only to win this event, but to do it with so many well known athletes in it,' was something I'll treasure forever', exclaimed
