Victor Pierini is Winning H.O.R.S.E. Player
TULSA, OK - Victor Pierini, of Boonville, Arkansa, outlasted a field of 77 players to capture the $500+50 H.O.R.S.E. event Friday, May 25th, during the 'Scotty Nguyen Challenge', at the Cherokee Casino. Pierini collected $13,491 for 1st Place.
'The Cherokee Casino always has terrific tournaments,' Pierini said, adding, 'I placed third in this same event last year.' The Oklahoman's victory came after more than 10 hours of card combat.
The third annual 'Scotty Nguyen Challenge', May 17-30, has set new attendance records. 'Just about every event is up over last year,' reports Sr. Manager of Poker Tony Armstrong, 'the tournament is already a big success.'
What's more, the 'Scotty Nguyen Blackjack Tournament' held simultaneously with the poker tournament, has likewise seen record-breaking crowds and prize money. 'We're equally pleased with the blackjack tournament,' Armstrong reports.
