A. G. Rose Wins No-Limit

TULSA, OK - Retired from the military, A. G. Rose was surprised he won the $200+20 buy-in evening No-Limit Hold'em contest, defeating 324 others for the 1st Place title and $19,135.
'I didn't know there was that much,' Rose said, a bit bewildered by all the attention and excitement.' I like playing here. The people are real friendly,' the old gentleman told Tournament Director Brooks Turk.
The third annual 'Scotty Nguyen Challenge' has broken all previous attendance and prize money records. 'We're very pleased with the response,' Turk said, 'The players seem to be having a good time.' * * *
