New Pro Takes the No-Limit Show

TULSA, OK - Dena Leath, who just turned pro, celebrated her decision by winning the $1000+70 No-Limit Hold'em event of the 'Scotty Nguyen Challenge' at the Cherokee Casino. It's her 3 final table appearance in 9 tournament events since turning pro.

'I'm thrilled,' says Leath, 'This victory is a real confidence builder.' Indeed it should be. The field of 185 players included some of the most accomplished pros in the business. 'Men Nguyen, Scotty Nguyen, Todd Brunson, Linda Johnson, Mike Matusow, Clonie Gowan, and 'Tahoe' Andrew were among the competitors.

According to Sr. Manager of Poker, Tony Armstrong, 'the third annual Scotty Nguyen Challenge, May 17 - 30, has been an unequivocal success.' Players from around the country and many well known professional names have helped set new records for participation and prize money.
