Kenneth Blanton Scores First
TULSA, OK - Kenneth Blanton, of Caddo Mills, TX, took down the $500+50 Pot Limit Omaha with re-buys tournament Thursday, November 15, during the 'Scotty Nguyen Poker Challenge IV' at the Cherokee Casino. Kenneth won $36,146 for 1st Place in the 64-player field. There were 60 re-buys.
The fast action game eliminated four players in just six hands. In the meantime, player Keith Lehr was bouncing from the final table to the $2,080 buy-in tournament on the other side of the room. The game slowed and after many tossed hands, the remaining players decided to take a break to talk business.
After returning to the table, the players came up with a deal. Kenneth Blanton, Keith Lehr and Michael Martin split the money even ways. Kenneth had chip lead and was deemed first place, Keith Lehr came in second, and Michael Martin took third.
