Tournament Report
| The 2007 Foxwoods World Poker Finals $10,000 WPT No-
Limit Hold'em Championship began with 575 players competing for
the chance to sit at the Final Table. On Saturday the field was cut to
51 players and by Sunday the number of hopefuls was down to 19.
Now today, after almost 8 hours of play, we have the final six:
Defending Champion Nenad Medic, Niagara Falls, Ont; Mike
Vela, Newburgh, NY; Mark Weitzman, Las Vegas, NV; Michael
White, Ellington, CT; 2005 Champion Nick Schulman, New York,
NY; and Tom Dwan, Edison, NJ.
They will start play on Tuesday, November 13, at 5 PM in the
Grand Pequot Ballroom. The total prize pool for the final six
positions is $3,812,575 with First Place worth $1,704,986 in addition
to a $25,000 seat in the WPT Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada |
