Tournament Report
Breaking with the ‘normal’ tournament tradition, Spirit Mountain Casino’s First Annual Oregon Open started with Omaha/8 Hi/Lo tournament. Eighty players made their way from all over the Northwest, and started this five-day event off with a bang. The top ten places were paid, and two deals were made at the final table. The first deal had all ten players receiving $500 + a readjustment of the prize pool, the second deal was made when the table was four handed, which guaranteed a $3,000 payday for 2nd 3rd and 4th, with 1st place receiving $4,850 and the trophy. The final two players played heads up for about 40 minutes, with Nigel Parker finally tapping the nail into Dwight Aydelott’s coffin after Dwight went ‘all-in’ in the dark one too many times:
Spirit Mountain Casino would like to thank everyone who participated in this opening event of the First Annual Oregon Open Poker Tournament and making it a success.
