Tournament Report

TULSA, OK - Felicia Johnico of Sherman, TX, wins the 6 pm, $300+40 Ladies No-Limit Hold'em Championship event Thursday, February 21, during the 'Oklahoma State Championship of Poker' at the Cherokee Casino, in Tulsa. Felicia is a blackjack player that has been playing cards for a mere year and a half. The champ explains her excitement, 'This is my first major tournament win like this. I got a ring and everything!'
The Ladies Championship was the first of the OSPC series not to chop. These women bashed away at each other from beginning to end. Crowds gathered as the chips flew across the table, usually in the direction of the chip leader and winner, Felicia Johnico.
Johnico was up against some tough competition. 'First Lady of Poker' Linda Johnson played in the event. Also present was LPA event winner Jan Fisher and last year's OSPC Ladies Champ, Cherie Baber. The women's poker crew 'Hold'em Hotties' made a presence as well as Elizabeth Robinson, a published author who will be appearing in the 'Biggest Losers' television show set to air in December.
