Tournament Report
Dan Huynh Secures the No Limit Win
A field of 408 Legend of Legends players battled for their share of the $127,652 prize pool in the last event #27 of the series. This Player Appreciation event had $50,000 added to the prize pool on top of the $200 + $25 buy-in. The ballroom was packed and the outside tables filled up just after the noon start time.
The final table was set about 9 hours into the tournament at the beginning of Level 17 with an ante of 2000 and blinds 6000/12000. No player was initially significantly short stacked but half the table had less than 10 big blinds.
The first elimination occurred during the first orbit when Eli Cotham got crippled when his A-J was up against pocket 7s and his opponent hit his set on the flop. Eli then got his last chips in on the next hand with Q-6 and was in good shape against the big blinds 9c-2c. However, the flop included two clubs and the turn club gave Don Lee the flush and Eli was sent packing in 10th place for $1,530.
On hand #13 Dan Huynh held pocket 8s and had Kwinsee Tran covered and all-in with A-K. The eight high flop (8-6-3) extended Dan's lead in the pre-flop race and the turn 6 and river 10 gave Dan the win. Kwinsee Tran was eliminated in 9th place and earned $2,555.
Just two hands later Jeong Lee was all-in with Q-5o, on the button, and was called by the small blind (also the chip leader) with K-9. The flop was 9-8-5 giving Dan's K-9 the pair over pair lead. The turn 4 and river 10 were no help to Jeong and he finished in 8th place taking home $3,830.
About ten minutes later Kyle Binns was all-in with an A-5 against a short stack's 6-5. The flop was 10-9-7 and Mark Tucker's 6-5 was closing the domination gap with a gut shot draw. The turn 3 and river 9 missed Mark and Kyle Binns dragged the pot. Mark Tucker finished in 7th place and earned $5,105.
The final elimination of the tournament came on hand #22 when Kyle Binns was all-in with a suited connector (6d-5d) against the pocket Queens of Don Lee. The flop faired well for Kyle with a J-7-8. The open-ended draw got the attention of the whole table but the Ace on the turn and 3 on the river couldn't crack Don's Queens. Kyle Binns finished in 6th place for $6,380.
The final five players discussed a chip count deal and negotiated to a peaceful resolution. Dan Huynh held the chip lead and was declared the winner with Don Lee in a close 2nd place finish.

BIOGRAPHY
Dan Huynh is one of the many Le family poker players. Unofficial leader Nam Le and extended family learn to play poker at the "Poker House". Several members of the Le family have won events in The Bicycle Casino's series each year and Dan is the latest title holder. Dan Huynh plays mostly tournaments and won his last title and the Stars & Stripes series. Dan said he played his position and didn't have to get too crazy to win. Dan is playing poker professionally and this win has helped him with his bankroll. Dan's relative Julie Le had made it just a couple of spots shy of the final table and I'm sure we'll see Dan and many others of the Le family at future final tables.
