Tournament Report
Mickey 'Mouse' Mills Takes Another Tournament Down
The 2008 Big Poker October continued with event #14, a $120 buy-in No Limit Hold'em tournament with one optional $100 rebuy. A field of 336 players made 226 rebuys generating a $12,949 prize pool. Final Table play began at level 17 with 3K antes and blinds at 8K/16K. Hon Le arrived to the final table as the chip leader with 428,000 of the 2,810,000 chips in play.
Our first elimination was on hand #6 when Shahen Martirosian limped in under the gun. Hon Le called as well as the small and big blinds. The flop came 8s-7x-6s and Martirosian went all in with pocket Aces and Hon Le had 8-5 for top pair and an open-ended straight draw. The turn came a 3 improving neither player. The river came an 8 and Hon Le made trip 8's cracking Martirosian's Aces and sending him out in 10th place for $680.
A few hands later Ivan Youssefian went all-in with Q-J. He was called by Joon Lee's K-J and Paul Emata's A-K. After the board came 5-A-5-8-10 Emata's pair of Aces sent Youssefian out in 9th place for $815.
On hand #13 Dyson Eng was all-in with A-K against James Hewett's pocket 9's. After the board came 10-7-10-7-8 Hewett's 9's were enough to send Eng out in 8th place for $1,090.
Not much went on for a couple rounds until Joon Lee was all in for his last 80K holding Q-5 against Richard Krynsky's A-K. The board came 2-K-4-J-A and Krynsky's two pair sent Lee out in 7th place for $1,360.
Hon Le was definitely the aggressor raising most pots. On hand #36 he got caught as it was folded to him in the small blind as he pushed all in with Q-8. Mickey 'Mouse' Mills called instantly from the big blind with pocket Jacks. After the board came K-4-K-2-2 Mills' Jacks held sending Le out in 6th place for $1,900.
After Mickey 'Mouse' Mills won that large pot the players realized it was after 7am and discussed making a chip count deal. The tournament staff ran the numbers and after some deliberation they made a deal with Mickey 'Mouse' Mills the chipleader declaring him winner of event #14.

BIOGRAPHY
Final tables and tournament wins are nothing new for Mickey 'Mouse' Mills. He simply stated that his strategy was to 'get lucky and say my prayers'. He added he likes playing small pot poker and tries to risk as little as possible while trying to get the most reward. Mickey uses position and timely bluffs while trying to mix up his play to pick up chips. It definitely worked out tonight as he adds another win to an already impressive tournament record.
