The opening event of the Austrian Masters at the Concord Card Casino,the 100,000 ATS Limit Hold'em with 100,000 ATS added prizemoney,has just concluded.A large number of local & overseas players turned up for this opening event,with the ATS 100,000 added prizemoney proving to be a major attraction.

A large contingent from Australia turned up on the heels of their earlier jaunt to Nova Gorica in Slovenia,where Aussie professional Graeme Putt took out 1st prize of about USD 10,000.

Here in Vienna there were 148 entries, with 296 rebuys & add-ons.Total prizemoney was ATS 544,000 Final table results & prizemoney- Austrian Schillings ATS 16 = USD 1.

Lori Robertson went to the final table as chipleader with 400,000. Gary Bush made early inroads,betting & raising at every opportunity. He took a huge pot of 360,000 against Mario Fahimirad who passed pocket Jacks in the face of a huge bet from Bush,who showed pocket 8,s. The 88,s held up for Fahimirad in a later hand against Casagrande's KQ,scooping a 500,000 pot.

In the later stages Rath started winning hand after hand,& ran out the eventual winner in a strong display of power poker.
