Ted Forrest's match against Rong Qing Gu lasted for over 5 hours,as did the match between Steve Wise & Cesare Poggi.

The shock upsets of the day were the defeats of Phil Hellmuth by Eric Colman,& Alan Cunningham by Alex Dietrich.

The bad beat of the day was Daniel Kohut of Sweden, who flopped a set against Biasni: 22 VS JT Final board- 2TA-A-T

Amarillo Slim is back to his best form & threatens to take the title if he can overcome bookie's favorite Alex Kravchenko, the unpredictable, but dangerous "crocodile",who has promised to bring along his collection of crocodiles to lend moral support,& "dark horse" & player's favorite Asher Derei of Israel.Simon "Aces" Trumper is the main Pommie threat, but David Mosley is capable of beating anyone on his day.

The funny story of the day was "Devilfish" getting up to concede his match against Mosley, only to be told that he had a heart flush, holding the deuce with his black Ace.He went on to lose the match anyway,so he must have known something.

Ted Forrest & Layne Flack must also be in serious contention,& tomorrows matches promise to be hard fought thrillers.
