David Hoffer's luck ran out shortly after the final five began play. David took 5th place and $127.

The next victim was Julio Anicete who finished 4th and collected $252.

With antes at $200 and the limit at $1,000-$2,000 P.K Levmoen went all-in against Chris Vermette. Chris made trip queens and P.K was forced out in 3rd place with $378.

At 5:10 Bo Howard, yesterday's winner in Omaha 8 or better, and Chris Vermette began heads-up play.

Twenty minutes into heads-up play Chris brought it in for $300 with the deuce of diamonds, Bo raised, showing a queen of diamonds, and Chris called. Bo caught a jack of clubs on the turn and bet. Chris caught a six of diamonds and called. On fifth street Bo caught a nine of clubs and bet out again. Chris snagged a 10 of hearts and raised, Bo reraised all-in and Chris called. Chris announced he had trip sixes. Bo had pocket fives and on sixth he picked up a club draw with the three of clubs. Chris caught the five of diamonds. Bo caught another three on the river for two pair but it wasn't good enough and he had to settle for 2nd place and $630.

Congratulations, Chris!

The Crazy Pianepple event began with 35 players and created a prize pool of $3,395. With 17 minutes left at the $300-$600 limit, the final 10 players went to the final table, where five would make the money.

Gene Bowden, who took second in yesterday's Omaha tournament, was eliminated in 10th place. As he was leaving the table he said, "They gotta be cheating me, because I play better than that."

At 6:30 p.m. the limit rose to $400-$800 with blinds at $200-$400.

Five minutes later, Mongoose, who finished 4th in yesterday's Omaha Hi-Lo tournament, took 9th place.

At 7:00 p.m. the remaining eight players took a dinner break and at 8:00 p.m. the limit went to $600-$1,200 with blinds at $300-$600.

In the next 30 minutes two more players were lost and were now down to the final six.

At 8:30 p.m. the limit rose to $1,000-$2,000 with blinds at $500-$1,000.

On the third hand after the limit increase, Max Ralph had the small blind and Sam Mallin was the big blind. Max called from the small blind and Sam checked. The flop came 8-J-K, Max bet all-in and Sam called. Max showed 10-8 and Sam turned over 7-8, both players had flopped a pair of eights and Max was in the lead with his 10 kicker. The turn card brought an ace and Max was still in the lead, but the river produced a seven which gave Sam the best hand with two pair. Max went out on the bubble, but all was not lost, he won a seat in the bubble tournament on April 19.

Two hands later Mike O'Malley was on the small blind and Troy Iverson had the big blind. Mike raised all-in for $700 more and Troy called. Mike showed K-Q of spades and Troy had pocket fours. The board came Q-10-4-4-5 and Troy won with quad fours. Mike took 5th place and $170.
