Tournament Report

The 14th event of World of Poker Challenge was $300 pot-limit 7-card stud. A European game, this was the first time it was played in a tournament in America ... and probably the last.

There were just 23 entrants, and to no one's surprise, two Englishmen were the finalists. Jac Arama, of Nottingham England, ran riot in the tournament and was the runaway winner. His final opponent was Bruce Corman, also of Nottingham. Corman had finished second in the pot-limit Omaha event the day before.

The tournament just took a bit over five hours from start to finish. On the final hand, Jac had $17,000 to Bruce's $4,000. Jac showed a king door card to Bruce's ace. The two got in a raising war and Bruce went all in. At the finish, Jac showed kings and queens to Bruce's pair of aces.
