Tournament Report

An Ode to Joy!

Oh Joy, Oh Joy, Oh Joy.....smiling joyfully is Chris Reslock, todays first place finisher in the $500 Stud Event. Yes, he is simply filled with Joy and surrounded by Joy, his wife, who is sharing in the congratulatory moment! This taxi owner/operator is also an avid reader of novels, cereal boxes, billboards and yes, Poker Faces. Chris masterfully read the cards to take the lead, but would like to credit his opponent. Paul Darden, as the toughest and best he's met at a final table. A most gracious compliment, indeed, may the compliment be returned. Here's wishing that your poker future be Merry and Bright.... and of course full of Joy!!

Something about Darden, (and seat #7).... for just last year, this same event, same seat, today brought Paul Darden a second place finish to be proud of. Good Job. No lie. This proud father of four plans to take his family on a nice lonnnnggg vacation. Best wishes Paul, you've worked hard for it, and, hey, don't worry, no hair gel thing goin on here.

A retired Army Captain and an angler from way back. Dan Avena reeled in his opponents, just as he reeled in his opponents, just as he reeled in a 500lb Marlin on his 25 foot boat.

Finishing 3rd in today's event, this CPA used all the bait he had in his tackle box to lure the chips his way. Atta boy Dan, you earned yoiur respect hook, line and sinker!
