Tournament Report
| Card Player contributing editor Andy Glazer wins the $500 Pot Limit Holdem.
Despite a little jet lag, Andy played a sensible, yet aggressive game, especially on the final table and when he found himself shortstacked. On a final table with 8 Australians and only two Americans (in an event in which the English would have been favoured:-) no-one in the room was prepared to give odds for an American quinella finish. It soon became apparent that a USA 1,2 was on the cards as the Aussies eliminated each other.
USA Quinella. It’s a 1,2 finish for the Americans, with Jesse Jones taking silver...
With his aces snapped, Jesse was in deep trouble. He had to make a move with the chips he had left, and did so with K4. Andy was favourite going in with A10; he flopped top pair and a bullet on the river sealed his victory.
John Madaffari was the last Australian to be knocked out; John settled for third place.
