Tournament Report
| The 2004 Spring Poker Round-up has just concluded at Wildhorse Resort Casino in Pendleton, Oregon. For eight days, the casino, which is located at the foot of the Blue Mountains amid the wheat fields of Eastern Oregon, was the poker capitol of the Pacific Northwest.
The seven-tournament event drew a huge turnout of 2,513 entries, with an astounding total prize pool that exceeded a half-million dollars - coming in at $522,750! For eight days, the quiet farm and rodeo town, which is more than 200 miles east of Portland, was transformed into a Mecca of poker action featuring 24 live games with a wide range of limits.
The top three point finishers in the All-Around race: champ Tom McEvoy, runner-up Vince Burgio, and third place Chris Brown all won seats in the World Poker Tour super satellite and a chance at the $5,000,000 prize money tournament starting April 19 at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Wildhorse hosts a Poker Round-up two times a year, Spring and Fall. Dates for the 2004 Fall Poker Round-up have already been set for November 5 through 13, and attendance is again expected to be very high.
