John Harrak is one of 35 Australians and Kiwis who came to Moscow on a travel package with PokerNetwork for this championship. He currently holds 2000.

37 players (no re entries), 29 rebuys. With a 800 chip start bank that makes a total of 52800 on the tables. Alowing for forced bets from the three additional start banks I estimate around 54000 on the tables.

For those mathematicians who have done the figures and believe there is money missing, 2% is held for overall points and 3% for the dealers.

We are still in the first level after the rebuy period. Antes 15, L/c 25, limits 75/150. No real developments to date.

We are now at the 25 ante level and 29 players remain. Chip leaders are:
The Kiwis look strong
Jamil Dia 7K
Constantin H 5K
More leaders to come

Other leaders are:
Alexander Kravchenko 5500

Lost another 3 players, Arseny M from Germany, pair o J's against Jamil's 9's over 7's. Sasha G and Mike Comer were both eliminated by John Wylie's 2 pair. 21 remaining.

Players currently on a break, will be returning to $25 ante (last 21).

Still 21 players remain.

John Harrak all in for 650. His 2 pairs 4's over 3's are....

Good enough and he wins $2300.

Chip leaders at 8.30 pm are:
Constantin Harach 9K
David Wood 7.3K
Alexander Kravchenko 6.0K.

The lovely Jenny Sheward from Qld, Australia has just been knocked out by Leo Boxell, the reigning Australasian Champion, who made trips on the river against Jenny's Aces up. Jenny was 19th.

Jac Arama, yesterday’s champ, all in for a 2500 pot – he makes a top straight on 6th street and takes the pot against Constantin’s 2 pair.

Limits are now 300/600 with a $50 ante.

For those of you wondering about the Moscow weather, there has been no rain since we arrived five days ago. Today in fact was a beautiful sunny day. Pictured above is a photo of Hotel Leningradskaya taken today. This place has a real heritage feel to it which i am sure you will agree from some of the poker room photos.

Just broken to two tables (16). Chip leader is still Constantin Harach, the flamboyant New Zealander, with 9K.

Prominent Hungarian poker player Istavan Hamori , was knocked out in 16th place to a flush.

Former chip leader Jamil Dia all in against John Dalessandri, makes a flush on 7th street to win a 2K pot.

John Wylie, one of the trio of Kiwis remaining, gets a flush on 6th street after going all in and takes a 2800 pot.

Chip leaders
Constantin Harach 11700 NZ
Alex Kravchenko 9700 Russia
Steve Templeman 8700 UK
David Wood 8000 UK
Robert Cohen 6300 France

Jack lee just knocked out in 14th place so remaining 9 players besides the chip leaders are:
John Wylie NZ
Phil Cannon Aust
John Dalessandri Aust
Jamil Dia NZ
Leo Boxell Aust
Marsha Waggoner Aust
Garry Bush UK
& John Harrak Aust, who just won an al in 3k pot with 2 pair over Robert Cohen.

Leading Russian player and second overall is Alex Kravchenko.

Phil Cannon all in for a 4.1 pot against John Wylie. Phil's pocket Aces in the hole too good for John's pocket Kings with no improvement to either player.

Players and scribe on a 15 min break. 13 remaining. Limits when we return will be 500/1000 (100 ante)

Leo Boxell with back to back kings goes all in and finishes with two pair and wins a $3,400 pot

John Dalessandri with back to back Aces makes two pair but the N.Z. Champion John Wylie has a full house and we say goodbye to John in 13th place today, but he does pick up some valuable points.

Robert Cohen is next to move all in when he holds a Pair of Aces he is up against Steve Templeton holding a pair of Kings no improvement for either player and Robert wins a 6,200 pot.

The reigning Australasian champion Leo Boxell is the next to depart in 12 place when his 2 pair were no match for David Woods flush.

Phil Cannon is next to move all in when both players open their cards on 4th street Robert Cohen shows trip J's and Philhas rolled up 3's.

Phill makes a full when the next 2 cards are a pair of 6's and phil stays alive and wins a pot of $3,500

The darling of the Poker Marsha Waggoner (originally from Australia, and VERY proud of it, but now residing in U.S.A) finds her 2 pair 9's over 6's were no match for Gary Bush who shows a full house.

The next player to depart tonights tournament is Steve Templeman when he finds his pocket Aces do-not beat the flush of Alex Kravchenko of Russia.

Finishing in 9th place tonight is John Harrak from Australia he struggled all day with no chips but no luck in his last hand and Jamil Dia from N.Z. claims another scalp.

Rebuys were for 1200 in chips (1.5 times the start bank) so we have over 65000 on the final table.

The Final Table Chip Standings & Seat Positions:

Seat Position/Player Chip Count
Seat 1: David Wood10.2K
Seat 2: John Wylie3.0K
Seat 3: Constantin Harach9.0K
Seat 4: Alexander Kravchenko15.1K
Seat 5: Jamil Dia6.8K
Seat 6: Garry Bush12.5K
Seat 7: Robert Cohen6.6K
Seat 8: Phil Cannon4.1K

Three New Zealanders (only 3 entered), 1 Australian, 1 Russian, 2 from the UK & 1 Frenchman

First hand on the final table, Garry Bush wins a 6k pot with trip Queens against Jamil Dia.

Reversing the tables for the kiwis in the very next hand, Constantin Harach takes down an 8k pot against David Wood.

The ante's have just moved to $200 with $500 low card and the structures at $2,000/$4,000

The next to go is John Wylie when he is all in for $1,200 he rolls pair of Kings agains David Wood who has a pair of 7's but the river gives David a 3 to make 2 pair .

The low chip stack is now the young gun from Australia Phil "Noodles" Cannon. He asked me to say hello to his sweetheart in Melb Sam B. Hello Sam xxx as he moves his last 700 in only to lose and finish in 7th position. But picking up some valuable points.

The 7-Card Stud Champion of New Zealand Jamil Dia takes down a nice 14,000 pot with jacks over sevens beat Alex Kravchenko.

With 6 players remaining here is the chip count.
Garry Bush 18k
Jamil Dia 16k
Alex Kravchenko 12.5k
David Wood 9k
Constantin Harach 7.5k
Robert Cohen 2k

A correction on the limits in fact the structures are in fact 1000/2000

A huge pot finds Constantin heads up against Garry Bush of England. Garry bets the max on the river and the 2 times New Zealand Champion and winner of the Mike Comer Classic event in Australia last year Constantine folds and just to rub salt into the wound Garry shows that he bet the last with only a pair of 5's. (I wonder if he has just given a tell away though because before he bet the last he asked Constantin how much do you have?)

Still with 6 players remaining they are given another break. The tournament today only had 37 players and it will run for over 8 hours I am glad they never got 100 we would have been playing for 3 days.

Here are the chip stacks at 11:20 Moscow time.
Garry Bush 38K
David Wood 12K
Alex Kravchenko 8K
Jamil Dia 5K
Constantin Harach 3.3K
Robert Cohen 1.5K

We are now at the $300 ante and $1,000 low card and a $2,000/$4,000

1st hand back from the break and the action is on!!!!
Both Robert Cohen and the Russian player Alex both go all in early against David Wood.
David shows 2 pair 6's over 4's Alex had a pair of 10's and Robert on a draw on the river David made a full and we lose 2 more players.
Only 4 remain at 11.35pm Moscow time.

David Wood now holding $21,000 in chips.

Jamil Dia finally has a little luck for the day and makes a flush against the chip leader Garry to move his stack up to around 13K

The N.Z. star Constantin Harach finaly goes out of todays tournament when his 2pair 10' over 4's could not beat Garry when he showed trip Kings

Two consecutive pots to Garry Bush takes his chip stack to around 50K
David Wood is now very low stacked and will need to commit it all in the next hand or two.

Garry Bush has both players covered and gets them both committed for all their chips.
Garry has K9/K 3 10 J 3 to finish with Kings over 3's
David has K8/K 9 A 2 A to finish with Aces over Kings.
Jamil Dia 67/4 4 7 3 J to finish with 7's over 6's.
David takes the pot.

We arrive at the final hand of the night and Garry put David all in and showed a flush to beat David holding a pair of 7's.

The winner of tonights event is Garry Bush from England..
