Tournament Report

The $10,000 International Teams Event was contested and won by a Crown/PokerNetwork team representing Australia. The Teams Event format was an excellent idea with each member of a four member team nominated to play Pot Limit Hold 'em, Pot Limit Omaha, Limit Omaha Hi/Lo & Limit 7-Card Stud. There were thirteen teams entered so the thirteen players nominated to play Hold 'em would start at 2 tables of 13 and play down to the last player as per a normal tournament with points allocated as follows:

This format applied to all four games and points were accumulated for the four team members. The winning team received $6,000 and the individual winner of each game played wins $1,000 for their team. Surprisingly, the winning team of Keith Bendigo Sloan, John Harrak, Phil Cannon & David Parlor, all of them affiliated with running the Crown Casino Poker Room Melbourne Australia and PokerNetwork.

They triumphed over a formidable German team represented by Lothar Landauer, Alexander Dietrich, Michael Keiner, Christoff Haller in second place and the very well credentialed Mel Judah, Jeff Lisandro, Mike Comer & Marsha Waggoner taking third place.
