| The $10,000 International Teams Event was contested and won by a Crown/PokerNetwork team representing Australia.
The Teams Event format was an excellent idea with each member of a four member team nominated to play Pot Limit Hold 'em, Pot Limit Omaha, Limit Omaha Hi/Lo & Limit 7-Card Stud. There were thirteen teams entered so the thirteen players nominated to play Hold 'em would start at 2 tables of 13 and play down to the last player as per a normal tournament with points allocated as follows:
| Place | Points |
| 1st | 18 |
| 2nd | 15 |
| 3rd | 12 |
| 4th | 10 |
| 5th | 9 |
| 6th | 8 |
| 7th | 7 |
| 8th | 6 |
| 9th | 5 |
| 10th | 4 |
| 11th | 3 |
| 12th | 2 |
| 13th | 1 |
